Martyn Pig:Blog #3

The main problem that happened in my book was that Martyn killed his father by accident and dumped his body into a lake. What made things even worse was that when the police confronted Martyn about his father, he lied to them and told them that he had gone out to the pub and has not been back since. When the police asked why he was not worried, Martyn had told them that his father had been gone for days before and came back eventually. But really Martyn had dumped the body because he did not know what to do. Martyn made up a huge lie, and eventually the police stopped asking questions, because they could not find anymore evidence to find out what happened to Mr. Pig. Martyn did not get caught! He is now living with his aunt, forgotten about everything, and he is happy he is living a new life.

If you were in Martyns situation and things got this bad, would you lie and make it seem like someone else killed your father or would you tell the truth, and say that you killed him?

Martyn Pig:Blog #2

When Martyn's mom died, he had to start taking care of himself. As Martyn's responsibility grew more and more, the worse his father became. At first Martyn was so annoyed with the fact that he had to do everything himself, and all his dad cared about was drinking and smoking. But then learned to get over it, and started helping his Dad, because he knew deep down that his Dad still loved him. Martyn knew that this was not normal,  and one day his frustration came out, and this was when he accidentally killed his father.

Martyn is stubborn and did not call the police. One hour turned into one day, and now it has been 3 days, and Martyn has still not called the cops. Martyn regrets killing his dad, and did not mean to, but he is still strong about the decision to dump his Dad's body somewhere. Normal people would call the cops, because they know it is the right thing to do.

Have you ever done something that you regret, and wish you can go back in time? Do you think later in the book, Martyn will regret the decision of wanting to dump his Dad's body somewhere?

Martyn Pig: Blog #1

The main character in my book is Martyn Pig. His mom died when he was 13 years old and now lives with his dad in an apartment style home. Martyn's dad is an alcoholic and a smoker, and treats Martyn like hes nothing. He does not treat him like a real father should. He has to make his own food everyday, walk to the store to buy groceries and clean up all of his dads beer cans and cigarette butts constantly.

One night Martyn's Dad was drunk like always and he was repeatedly making fun of Martyn's favourite show that he rarely got to watch. Martyn got so frustrated with him, he yelled at him to shut up, things escalated and his dad became violent again. Martyn pushed his dad off of him, he fell and cracked his head open on the mantle, and died. Martyn was in shock, he was in so much shock he never called the police, because he didnt know what they would accuse him of. Hours went by and then days and Martyn came up with the idea to dump his dads body somewhere. But he still confused as to what to do.

Question: What do you think Martyn should do? Should he call the cops and tell them what happened, even thought its been more than 24 hours and there is a chance they will not believe him and put him in juvie, or should he dump his body somewhere?
